  The Avondale Dairy has been around for decades. It is situated in between vineyards and crop fields in scenic Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada. You can eat/drink inside, or take your treats outside to the wooden picnic tables or old-fashioned swings. Locals frequent this traditional Dairy every summer for its vast selection of ice cream, floats, milkshakes, and other ice treats. It's a bit off the beaten path, but forget the newbie ice cream shops in favour of this Dairy. You won't be disappointed.

  Excellent variety of flavours and combinations! The ice cream tasted oh so fresh! Both my partner and I got the Banana Foster flavour and it was oh so good! Just to let other know they price by weight! 10/10 would go back again!

  We went in search of local color, and we found it! Kept us from having to visit the Dairy Queen near the Falls, as we really wanted something we don't already get in the USA. We found it on a list of the best Ice Cream places near Niagara Falls, and we were not disappointed.

  The ice cream here actually exceeded my expectations. It was quite good, I've had better but it was pretty good. The bad. The place is classic and I don't anything has been updated since the 1950's. The people working here are nice, but service is a mess and completely chaotic. Oh and good luck finding the washroom without asking someone. Almost forgot the best part, as of 2017 2 scoops of ice cream in a waffle cone cost over $8!

  So many fun flavours and decor. There's so many options, there's something for everyone! A little on the pricey side but worth it
