  The "tour guide" was dismissive and insulting. She was condescending and seemed to want to get our group out as quick as possible although we paid good money to be there. She rushed a 30 minute tour in about 7 minutes.

  We enjoyed our time at Chocolate F/X . We had an excellent tour guide. Loved learning more about Chocolate and really enjoyed tasting samples before buying some to take home. Children accompanied by their parents were welcomed.

  Went to chocolate F/X for our kid's friends birthday party. Was such a great thing for the kids. The staff gets all the kids involved to make their own chocolate creations. Very well done, lots of patience for the kids. They get to make a good amount of different chocolates. As for the business the staff is so friendly, but who would not be happy making chocolates all day; maybe the free samples help. The place appeared very clean and well maintained. The staff cleaned up the stations as soon as the kids were done, which was nice to see. I would highly recommend visiting to buy some great chocolates and book a kids party.

  First let me state that I do not write reviews but after seeing all the positive reviews on this business I had to share my experience. This place was an absolute waste of time and falsely advertised. We got a coupon from the hotel we were staying at by Niagara Falls so decided to go. The advertisement said that we would be given a full tour of how chocolate is made etc. then given strawberry dipped in chocolate at the end. We assumed we would be able to sample chocolates and go through the factory to see how the workers work and make the chocolate. INSTEAD... We scheduled our visit so that we would check out of the hotel, walk around Niagara Falls some more then go to the "chocolate tour" for 2pm. When you first walk in it's an old, run down looking store. The chocolate in packages also looks old and stale. As we were waiting for the "tour" to begin, we saw a couple tubes of chocolate labeled free samples so we tried them. They were horrendous. The milk chocolates had a weird strong taste to them--as if they had added a spice of some sort. The white chocolate was just completely odd. And the fruity chocolate tasted like fruity gum hyped with sugar and dipped in their weird spices. The only samples that we didn't mind were the M&M looking chocolates. They tasted like 10 year old M&Ms with no peanuts in the middle. Anyways the tour had begun and we were summed up behind the glass of the factory. At no point were we actually allowed to enter the factory. An elderly lady began the "tour." She had pictures of how chocolate grows etc. After the history behind chocolate production and their factory, she began the "tour." No one was working that day (it was Family day) which made it even more boring. She pointed at a couple machines behind the glass and stated what they do. Then we went to the "decorating" area followed by "packaging and molding." The entire tour seemed more like an advertisement for the factory than anything. She mentioned how we can book to do team nights/kids parties there, etc.--which makes one wonder how sanitary the entire factory is. To sum up, the trip was a waste of our valuable time that we could have spent more at Niagara Falls. It was falsely advertised and a complete disappointment.
